Andrew brings a wealth of leadership and commercial expertise to Cellora, built over a thirty-two-year career at Syngenta. During his tenure, he held pivotal roles such as Regional Director and Country President and was a member of Syngenta’s Global Crop Protection leadership team. In these capacities, Andrew successfully led multibillion-dollar business units across diverse regions, including Asia Pacific, as well as Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.

A key milestone in Andrew’s career came in 2017, when Syngenta became the largest publicly listed company to be acquired by the ChemChina group. As Regional Director of China, Andrew guided the establishment of Syngenta's China regional business unit after the acquisition.

Now based in the Yarra Valley, Victoria, Andrew continues to make significant contributions to the agricultural sector. He currently serves as a non-executive director and sits on the Boards of Cotton Seed Distributors, Bio-Gene Technology (ASX: BGT) and Terragen (ASX:TGH), helping to shape the strategic direction of these organisations.

"I am excited to be part of the Cellora story and work with a very talented team," said Andrew Guthrie. "Cellora has an interesting pipeline of biological actives and is focusing on its lead opportunities that have significant potential across many global markets."

Damian Camp, CEO of Cellora, added "Andrew's appointment comes at a pivotal time for Cellora as we move from discovery to deployment. His experience in commercialising agricultural innovations and building global partnerships aligns perfectly with our ambition to deliver sustainable, high-performance biological solutions to the world's growers."

With Andrew's guidance, Cellora will accelerate its field validation programs and pursue collaboration opportunities with industry-leading partners to bring its biological crop protection innovations to market.
